Start of Term, Start of Purpose

I have officially started my first lesson in SUSS, a module that introduces us to the roots of Social Work.

It has been a good year and a half since I graduated from SUSS Accountancy in 2023, and I am now stabilising myself as an accountant in a shipping firm. I must add that the thought of studying again had crossed my mind after graduation, just not this soon. Lo and behold, when I left home for school for the first time in a while (thank you, boss, for allowing me to WFH so my travelling time is shortened), I felt like a pure undergraduate again - first day of school, orientation, kind of vibes. There was also the much-needed optimism from my family, girlfriend, friends, and even colleagues, encouraging me to push myself to get through law school.

I was told it would be ‘bootcamp’ for the first few weeks in school - full Saturdays btw. This was one of those things that caught my eye when I was scrolling LinkedIn one day, and it was certainly not a thing in Accountancy back then, looking forward.
